Air Fryer Honey Soy Chicken Wings

- 2 lbs chicken wings + drumettes, separated (no tips)
Marinade:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (not the low sodium kind)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar (regular vinegar also works)
- 2 Tbsp Hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green onions, minced
- 1 red chili pepper (fresh) (jalapeno also works or leave it out if you don't eat spicy)
Air Fryer Instructions:
Preheat Air Fryer. Lightly brush the bottom of the basket with oil.
Add half the chicken wings in one layer, separated slightly from each other. Roast at 380F for 12 minutes total, flipping wings about halfway through. When the first batch is finished, transfer to a serving plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm. Repeat with the second half of the chicken wings.
Meanwhile, pour marinade ingredients into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer on medium heat until reduced and thick, about 8-10 minutes. Brush wings with the marinade on both sides. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion and/or cilantro. Serve immediately or at room temperature.
Conventional Oven Instructions:
Preheat oven at 375F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Add chicken wings in one layer, separated slightly from each other. Roast until brown and crispy looking, about 40-45 minutes.
