Once the weather turns chilly, I can’t wait to start cooking my favorite Fall recipes. Yes to ALL the cozy stews, braised one-pot meals, game day snacks, easy weeknight dinners, baked treats, and nourishing comfort food!

Here I’ve compiled all my favorite Fall-time recipes:

Cozy Soups and Stews

  1. Seafood Soondubu Jjigae. Also known as Korean Soft Tofu Soup, it’s the ultimate pot of cozy comfort. Soft silken tofu, spicy anchovy broth with lots of tender squid, shrimp, and clams. Frozen seafood makes this especially easy to make at home.

2. Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew). Tastes good any time of the year, but it’s extra cozy and comforting on chilly nights. A Korean home staple made with deliciously savory doenjang or fermented soybean paste.

3. Homemade Miso Soup. If you’re not making miso soup from scratch, it’s time to start! Rich and savory miso paste is full of probiotic goodness. Add to dashi stock with cubes of tofu and nutrient-rich wakame. To make it easier, use instant dashi granules or water.

4. Instant Pot Vietnamese-style Chicken Soup. A Chicken Pho inspired recipe, made in the Instant Pot! Gluten-free rice noodles and an assortment of herbs make this easy chicken soup extra flavorful and fragrant.

Braised One Pot Meals

5. Dak Dori Tang (Korean Spicy Braised Chicken). Saucy, tender braised chicken in a spicy, incredibly flavorful sauce. A one-pot recipe that stars ordinary, accessible chicken and fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth potatoes.

6. Braised Lamb Shanks with Figs. Rich, decadent, fall-off-the-bone Braised Lamb Shanks with figs and red wine. The dried figs are the special ingredient! A truly spectacular meal — perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy Fall nights.

7. Spicy Galbi Jjim. A Korean classic with a twist: Spicy Galbi Jjim with Cheese! Tender baby back pork ribs braised in a sea of fiery red Gochujang sauce. Cozy, comforting, and so incredibly delicious.

8. My North Korean Grandma’s Doenjang Pork Belly. A special family recipe that’s incredibly easy to make. Cook pork belly and doenjang (Korean soybean paste) in one pot for a decadent, warming dish. So good you’ll be scraping the plate clean.

Seasonal Favorites

9. Kkakdugi. Fall time means it’s time to make Kkakdugi or Korean Cubed Radish Kimchi! During the chilly autumn months, radish is at its seasonal peak — crisp, ripe, juicy, and ready to be made into kimchi. An easy first kimchi.

10. Korean Apple Tea. My Korean grandma’s remedy for sore throats and irritated coughs. Full of immunity-boosting ginger and cinnamon, it can be easily made in the Instant Pot or on the stovetop in a stock pot.

Fall Dinner Party

11. Army Base Stew (Budae Jjigae). A cozy, jiggly pot of Korean goodness — hot pot style! Assemble in a shallow braiser and serve at the table over a portable burner. As it cooks, everyone can chat and drink. Combine hot dogs, Spam, rice cakes, and instant noodles is an easy, crowd-pleasing way to host dinner.

11. Spicy Pork Belly Bulgogi. For a fun and easy Korean BBQ meal at home. No need to grill outdoors — instead broil marinated spicy pork belly strips in the oven. Serve with rice, lettuce wraps, perilla leaves, kimchi, and ssamjang (Korean BBQ dipping sauce).

12. Cheese Buldak (Korean Fire Chicken). Mouth-watering bites of chicken covered in an extra-spicy Buldak sauce. Also known as Fire Chicken, it’s served with lots of cheese for that epic cheese pull!

Fall Holiday Dishes

13. Instant Pot Bossam. A Korean classic that’s a staple for my holiday table. Easy to make in the Instant Pot or stovetop. Serve with Oyster Radish Kimchi.

14. Galbi Jjim. A Korean holiday classic for a reason. Decadent and luxurious beef short ribs are cooked with soy sauce, garlic, onion, and daikon until tender and falling off the bone. So good!

15. Korean Fried Chicken. Nothing says special like a big platter of crispy, crunchy, lip-smacking Korean Fried Chicken! Double-fried for that addictive crunch. A soy sauce and garlic sauce make these incredibly addictive.

16. Slow Cooker Gochujang BBQ Pulled Pork. An easy slow cooker recipe that’s perfect for game days! A spicy-sweet Gochujang marinade makes the most delicious BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches.

17. Queso Fundido Dip with Kimchi. Every game day needs a dip. Queso Fundido with Kimchi is the ultimate cheesy dip that’s sure to be a favorite. Kimchi makes everything better!

Fall time is a busy time of year. After the long, relaxing days of summer, it’s time to get back into routine. Some easy 30-minutes dinner ideas that will make getting dinner on the table easier!

19. Beef Bulgogi. An easy weeknight favorite that everyone loves. Serve with rice, lettuce wraps, and kimchi.

23. Black Sesame Mochi Cake. Savory and nutty black sesame seeds make chewy mochi cake a popular favorite. Perfect for Halloween with its dark, rich interior! A one-bowl, gluten-free recipe that’s baked in a 9×13″ pan.

24. Brown Butter Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie. My FAVORITE cookie. Gorgeously chewy with crinkly edges. Delicious toffee-studded cookies with browned butter that you’ll always be baking.
